WHAT IS EXTERNAL WALL INSULATION?
External Wall Insulation, mainly known as (EWI), involves adding insulation materials to the external walls of your property, to help improve insulation and heat loss. This massively helps reduce the cost of heating your Central Scotland home, making it more energy efficient and warmer, reducing the amount of heat which is lost through external walls.

ROOFING OVERVIEW
NEW OR REPLACEMENT ROOFING
Looking for a new or replacement roof for your home? ERG offer a range of services, from repairs to complete replacements and new roofs, to suit your requirements.
ROOFING SERVICES AVAILABLE INCLUDE:
• Tiled Roof Replacement
We strip the whole roof, including: tiles, ridges and felt, to check and replace any damaged timber. We use a breathable membrane which keeps your roof watertight and breathable, prior to re-roofing in a tile of your choice, with various styles and colours available.
• Flat Roof Replacement
ERG offer full replacement of your flat roof, which can be re-finished in both Felt and Rubber.
• Soffit, Facia & Guttering
These are parts of your roofline which are usually replaced when completing any roof replacement if required, as a separate service and cost, and can be added to any complete roof replacement job as an additional requirement. We can also include all down and rain water pipes. We offer white soffit and facias, with either black or white guttering available as standard, although colour can be requested at an extra cost, due to required tinting.
• Decra / Metra Lightweight Roofing
This system is offered on metal roofing, or garage roofing, which can be used to mimic the look and style of traditional tile roofing. This is very well known for its durability, long lasting in all weather conditions, lightweight and very low maintenance, resistant to both mold and mildew. This is aesthetically very pleasing when installed.

ROOFING TILE OPTIONS
NEW ROOF MATERIALS
• Asphalt Shingles
They are affordable, offer various attractive options, and protect your home from natural elements.
Two types include:
Organic shingles: A paper is saturated in asphalt and covered with granules. They are heavy but offer better stability in high winds. They tend to dry out and become less waterproof hence absorbs excess moisture.
Fiberglass shingles: A fiberglass mesh mat is covered in asphalt and topped with granules. They reflect some of the sunlight and provides the colour. They are lightweight and resists tearing.
• Metal Roofing
Zinc, aluminium, and lightweight steel are the most common metals used. They are eco-friendly and very durable.
• Wood Shingles & Shakes
Cypress, cedar, redwood, and pressure-treated pine are commonly used.
• Concrete & Clay Roof Tiles
Newer and stronger materials are used in the manufacture.
They are made in three ways:
Concrete tiles are made using a lightweight blend making them tough and easy to work with.
Traditional clay tiles are reinforced to increase strength and durability.
Fiber cement tiles are made when clay and wood are blended into concrete providing lightweight strength.
• Slate Roofing
Synthetic composite slate is attractive, lightweight, and affordable. Natural slate tiles are very durable but the materials are heavy.

ROUGHCASTING OVERVIEW
WHAT IS ROUGHCASTING?
Roughcast is a type of External Wall Render finish and is the most cost-effective new render SYSTEM you can get at the moment. This involves using a cement polymer base render and adding small chips or stones on top for a beautiful flawless finish.
This decorative feature makes your property more attractive and requires low maintenance. This can be done in various colours and samples can be seen at our external showrooms.
We offer our Roughcasting services with up to a 10 year guarantee, with a personal office-based account manager.
